Privacy Policy

4K Beach Walks is operated by BW Media Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. When we say “we”, “us”, or “our” in this policy, we mean BW Media Ltd.

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account information— your email address and a hashed password when you sign up. We never store plaintext passwords.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. Stripe provides us with the last four digits, card type, and expiry so we can display them on your account page.
• Usage data— which videos you watch and for how long, so we can show your watch history and improve the library.
• Device & browser info— standard server logs (IP address, browser type, operating system) for security and debugging.

We do not sell your data. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. We do not share your information with data brokers.

• To provide and maintain the streaming service.
• To process your subscription payments via Stripe.
• To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets).
• To improve the service (e.g. understanding which walks are most popular so we can film more like them).

We will never email you marketing material without your explicit opt-in consent.

Your account data is stored securely by Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure in the EU). Video content is delivered globally via Mux. Payments are handled by Stripe. All three providers maintain SOC 2 compliance and encrypt data in transit and at rest.

Your bank or card statement will show charges from “BW Media Ltd”. No mention of beach walks, videos, or streaming. This is by design.

We use essential cookies only— session tokens to keep you logged in and a preference cookie if you change playback settings. No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no cookie consent banners because there’s nothing optional to consent to.

You can at any time:

• Accessyour data — view everything we hold about you from your Account settings.
• Correctyour data — update your email or profile from your Account page.
• Deleteyour account — request full deletion by emailing us. We will remove all personal data within 30 days.
• Exportyour data — request a copy of everything we hold about you.

If you are in the UK or EU, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO (UK) or your local supervisory authority.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your account so you can resubscribe later. If you request deletion, we remove all personal data within 30 days. Anonymised usage statistics (no personally identifiable information) may be retained indefinitely.

4K Beach Walks is a general-audience service. Our content is suitable for all ages — it’s beaches, waves, and the occasional seagull. However, account creation and payment require you to be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Minor clarifications or formatting changes may be made without notice.
